I have been purchasing insurance from Secord, and more specifically Devin, for roughly 12 years now. I have never dealt with such a professional insurance broker who genuinely cares about your sell being and takes the time to get to know his clients on more of a personal level. I have purchased all of my policies including everything from boats, to vehicles, to commercial liability insurance. I have had random questions come up and when I call to ask, I am never made to feel like I am a bother. I am always treated with the utmost respect when I have to deal with Devin. I've only ever worked with Miranda Day, however, I think this feedback will still be helpful. Biggest thing to me is that Miranda is flexible and listens to what I'm telling her about my insurance needs. She doesn't try and upsell. She doesn't try and sell me things I don't need. She offer me options and allows me to make the best decision while still providing input on things I may need to consider. Also, the follow-ups on an annual / 6 month basis are helpful. Rate increases are communicated promptly. People's life situations and needs change and Secord is focused on providing options that fit people's needs when the outlook changes. I've had the most wonderful experience with Miranda. I messaged this business on yelp on a Saturday and they messaged me immediately saying an agent would call me on Monday. What can I say except Shane Secord is a miracle worker. I came to him with a very serious insurance dilemma. After an attic fire, my insurance company dropped my policy in the middle of a big loss claims process putting me between a rock and a very hard place. I had already been turned down by two other insurance brokers.Though my initial claim would still be covered, my ins company must have known the rebuild could not be done without a policy to satisfy my mortgagee company. Insurers don't insure heavily damaged houses without a firm date for start of construction. They had slow walked the decision to rebuild or restore over a 3 month period. I suspect the ins co plan was to offer a cash settlement for much less than the value of original policy. Thanks to Shane I'll never know.He found a new insurer for me and helped me meet every one of their requirements. Construction process begins in three weeks( finally got ins company decision to begin a restoration). Shane worked very hard to make this work and provided helpful guidance in other areas of this process as well.
